Senior Development Engineer

Oxsensis is seeking an enthusiastic Engineer with a ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to be involved in the development of new products for the Aerospace and Power Generation markets. To lead the development of optical sensing systems for one of our major customers from concept definition, proof-of-concept to optimisation and through to production. The successful candidate will have an MSc or PhD degree level in a relevant engineering, physics or electronics subject.

Development Engineer

Working closely with Process and Design Engineers on the development of technology that will take concepts (Technology Readiness Level 1) through to the qualified product stage (Technology Readiness Level 8). The Development Engineer will be involved in ‘hands on’ development of new optical sensing systems as well as support and improvement of existing products, with primary focus on the optoelectronic interrogation side.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

This role is primarily concerned with sensor head development but there is some crossover into the development of the optoelectronic interrogator which, with the sensor head, forms the complete sensor system. Oxsensis also develops many of its own test and manufacturing facilities as ‘off the shelf’ rigs are not generally available.

The main duties of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be the design of sensor element and high temperature packaging.
